Dublin's Digital Hub Development Agency Welcomes New Companies to The Digital Hub

Eight growing digital companies have joined the enterprise cluster at Dublin's Digital Hub since the start of 2014. The new companies, six of which are from outside of the Republic of Ireland, collectively employ 25 people at present and are expected to create over 30 additional high-skilled jobs before the end of the year.

Fallon & Byrne to Operate Restaurant in People’s Park Dun Laoghaire

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is pleased to announce that Fallon & Byrne have been awarded the tender to operate the soon to re-open Tea Rooms in the People’s Park Dún Laoghaire. The original Pavilion building that now houses the Tea Rooms is currently undergoing renovation works that are due to complete this summer. A lightweight glass structure is being added to provide a generous and sunny dining space while a new kitchen, bar and toilets are also being constructed. The stone terrace is being enlarged for outdoor dining and access to the roof terrace will be reinstated via the original metal staircases.

Battle of Clontarf Festival

As part of Dublin City Council’s Battle of Clontarf Festival this Easter Weekend, the City Council in partnership with Raheny Shamrock Athletic Club are hosting a 10 mile race in St. Anne’s Park on Easter Monday morning at 10a.m.  The festival is a commemoration and celebration of Brian Boru and the Battle of Clontarf one thousand years ago in 1014 and is just one part of a wider national programme of events in 2014.

Dublin Kids Learn Rugby the Leinster Way

This past week, young Dublin rugby enthusiasts have had the opportunity to learn some inside rugby tricks of the trade as Leinster Rugby’s School of Excellence visited Skerries RFC. The School also visited Gorey RFC, Railway Union RFC and Cill Dara RFC. The School of Excellence at Skerries RFC was run by fully accredited IRFU coaches and catered for kids aged 10-16 who turned out in their droves for a fun filled time over the Halloween break.
